The golden thread, built in.
Models, documents, decisions, and safety evidence stay connected in one live project record, not a folder of files that drift out of sync the moment something changes.
Built for the Building Safety Act
1. The Golden Thread
The Law says: You must keep a secure, digital "single source of truth" containing all safety information about the building. It cannot be fragmented across emails or static files.
How we solve it: The Workspace builds the Golden Thread by keeping model information, documents, decisions, and safety evidence connected in one live project record.
2. The Gateways
The Law says: You have to prove the design is safe to the Regulator at three specific "Gateways" (Planning, Pre-Construction, and Completion). If you don't pass, you cannot legally proceed.
How we solve it: Track Gateway progress against the live project record, so evidence stays organised as the project develops.
3. Dutyholder Accountability
The Law says: Specific people (the Principal Designer and Principal Contractor) are now legally responsible for safety. You must be able to prove who made what decision.
How we solve it: Our strict Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) means only the right people can edit the data they are accountable for. Every action is logged to a specific user, making accountability undeniable.
4. Version History & Change Control
The Law says: If important building safety information changes, you must be able to show what changed, when it changed, who changed it, and why.
How we solve it: The Workspace preserves document versions, records key project edits, and captures safety-critical changes with clear history and supporting context.
